Ethics And Law – Where Art Thou?
The recent controversy involving News Of The World and hacking of private information of thousands of celebrities has created a huge mess. It is not advisable to post any information about your desire to go on a painting holiday on any social networking website using your cell phone or any other electronic device. Chances are high that it is being hacked by somebody who is hell bent on creating sensational news out of this useless bit of trivia of yours.
Are today’s youngsters to blame for the level of corruption and decadence in society? Everybody likes interesting gossip but that does not mean we can violate laws and ignore ethics, right? I am sure the youth of London is not interested in knowing more about favorite celebrities through such crude methods.
A certain blurring of difference between right and wrong is always acceptable when being competitive in business. However, to simply ignore the law and violate ethics to earn more money is a sure sign of arrogance. Such an approach is best avoided. As consumers, youngsters can simply decide not to patronize such service providers.
This may be easier said than done but only youngsters have the capacity of arriving at such a conclusion. Others have their families and other issues to worry about. Only the youngster will be interested in avoiding such a messy future that this phenomenon will create. After all, the youngsters are the ones who are going to inherit the future. Nobody will like to live in such a world, right?
