Old or New School.
The young people of this day have many things especially technology at their disposal that makes them ‘cool’. Now, think about this; what do you think the older folks called cool during their time? We are talking about the times when they had no computer, internets, i-pods or even mobile phones. Boring? Well if that is what you think then you are definitely entitled to your opinion. When parents talk about the fun they had while growing up, their children can’t help to come to terms with older one’s definition of fun. I mean, what is interesting about a life without internet and phones? It is true that the digitals kids have gadgets like Polti 950 that has made life easier for them but the older generation also believe that the good things also has it disadvantages.
While people had to write letters and wait for several days to get a reply it is no longer so.Now you can make a call with a mobile and if you are compelled to write, an electronic mail can be sent. I asked my mum about this topic and her response was worth thinking about. She opined that what the young generation have to their advantage also has many disadvantages. I believe most people who grew up then will also share this point of view. For my mum, she actually preferred living then and she would not change it for anything if she was given the opportunity. She said the internet especially has been abused and it encourages people to live in isolation which often allows depression to set in. As for me, the disadvantages not withstanding I prefer to live in the world where I can keep up with almost everything with the click of a button.
